40ft Shipping Container / Cabina Delivered to Casa Cavu

A special platform was built for the container to rest on. The container is a 40ft refrigerated unit will help insulate the cabina and keep it cool in the summer months. A concrete pad, retaining wall and drainage slope will be installed below container. A canopy roof will be added over the concrete pad to serve as a garage and shaded outdoor living area.

The delivery of the container was particular tricky on the day of arrival due to recent rain and the steep slope on the road leading in. The highly experienced driver backed down the muddy road in reverse from the main road, avoiding power lines and ditches. The crane from the truck and a backhoe were used to put the shipping container into its final position on the concrete columns and secured into place.
